Make your texts stand out with these WhatsApp Message tricks. WhatsApp needs no introduction. Now, we cannot even imagine our lives without WhatsApp. With WhatsApp launching video calling and statuses, texting is still a major activity.

Make a BOLD statement

WhatsApp comes with a built-in feature that lets you make your messages bold. You can make a text stand out when you need to highlight an important point.

To do so, add a star (*) before and after the message. For example, in the message Make a Bold statement, if you want to highlight the word better, you need to write it down - Make a *Bold* statement. Once you have done that, you will see that the text is now highlighted. Tap Send.

Maybe I want ITALIC

Similarly, if you want to make the text italic, you can do that too. Making italic text is useful if you want to emphasize the important part.

To do so, add underscore ( _ ) before and after the text. For example, in the message Maybe I want _Italic_, the word alert will appear in italics.

I'm going mono now.

In addition to the usual font, WhatsApp also supports Monospace font. However, there is no global setting for WhatsApp to change the font of all text. You need to change it individually for each message.


To change the font, enter text in three backticks (```). This is how the text should be - I'm going ` ``mono` `` now.

NOTE: Do not leave space between symbols and text.
